SSCA Meet & Greet - May 15, 2012

SSCA Meet & Greet

Caraguilo’s on Palm
Tuesday 5-7 pm – May 15, 2012
Caraguilo Brothers

The story goes Caragiulo’s became one of Sarasota’s most popular eateries in much the same way the family found the cozy storefront on Palm Avenue, with… ease. From his bakery in Brooklyn, Tony Caragiulo and his five sons came to Florida in pursuit of an agreeable location to open a simple Italian restaurant. After an exhausting, two week long car trek around Florida with no prospects and tempers flaring, Tony signaled for the car to pull over; “Stoppa the*#!*#!!!!car!,… This is it,” he declared, pointing to the vacant stucco location… And it was.

And it is. For our Meet & Greet, house wines $3 each, draft beer $2.55 each & a well martini for $4.  Small plates available at $5 each.  Located at 69 Palm Ave in downtown Sarasota. Courtesy RSVP by Sunday, May 13. This will allow Caraguilo's to ensure they have sufficient bar staff for our meet    & greet group. Guests and last minute walk-ins are always encouraged.

Visit Sarasota County

The Sarasota Convention and Visitors Bureau has changed its name to Visit Sarasota County. Officials said the new corporate name would make it easier to find visitor information and would reduce confusion about the organizations purpose, as well as the fact the organization serves all of Sarasota County. The change should improve presence in online searches and social networking.
