The Sister Cities Association of Sarasota (SCAS) held its fourth annual One World Gala Sunday, March 16 at Michael’s On East. The event honored Linda Rosenbluth and Embracing Our Differences for their involvement with the association and community. Members and guests celebrated the association’s 51st anniversary with a dinner program including pianist Guilia Vazzoler from sister city Treviso, Italy.

A great time was had by the people who attended the Sister Cities Association of Sarasota’s annual One World Gala. It was a very special evening at Michael's On East.

 We honored two who have made significant contributions to world peace – our own

 Linda Rosenbluth,

and 

 “Embracing Our Differences”. embracingourdifferences.org


Entertainment was provided by renowned international pianist, Giulia Vazzoler, from Treviso, our sister city in northern Italy. Giulia arranged a medley of music from our eight sister cities. Carolyn Michel, colorful local dramatic artist, emceed the program.



Thistle Ball Saturday March 29, 6:00 PM

A glorious Scottish evening with Fine Dining, the colorful Pageantry of Tartans, with a focus on Sister Cities' Sarasota Tartan, Bagpipe Music, Scottish Classical Ballet and a Musical Journey around our Sister Cities.

Held at the beautiful University Park Country Club on Saturday March 29, 6:00 PM, $56 per person.

Hopefully SSCA board members and members will come to this beautiful Scottish (Dunfermline) event I am organizing as SSCA DF City Director.

Shanghai Expo has encompassed lots of China's Magnificent and Diverse Scenery. 

Jackie Chan's Hong Kong  This is rather long so I will play only sliver of it.

And to introduce China I shall click very rapidly on the PPS depicting The Great Wall in its entire LENGTH. This is a rare PPS as it captures the entirety of the Great Wall -The only man-made structure that can be seen from out of space:)
