Art Up-Close features regional creative professionals giving insight into what informs their artistic practice, to educate and inspire the Sarasota community with the exchange of ideas and conversations about art processes.

JANUARY 18 | MICHAEL ADNO, THE VALUE OF LONGFORM JOURNALISM, a panel discussion in partnership with the Hermitage Artist Retreat.  Moderated by Dr. Ann Albritton, professor of modern and contemporary art history at Ringling College of Art and Design. Panelists include the artist Michael Adno; Chris Jones, curator of works on paper at The Ringling; and Michael Wyshock, an artist and professor of fine arts at Ringling College.

Loosely inspired by a true story, this moving play describes how the women of the village of Lockerbie, Scotland, strove in a very unique way to wash away the terrible wounds inflicted by the terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 in 1988.
