If you haven't had a chance to check out our French Arts Exhibit, “Confluence France” at the Art Center, come on out Wednesday June 17....Afterwards, join Sister Cities of Sarasota "Citizen Diplomats" between 5-7pm for happy hour nearby at Social on First, 1219 1st Street Sarasota, FL 34236.
“Confluence France” is an exhibit made possible by collaboration of Sister Cities Association of Sarasota, Art Center Sarasota, and Alliance Française de Sarasota which features the work of 11 artists from the region of Sarasota’s Sister City, Perpignan, France. Curated by Adeline Besson, a noted Paris-based curator. "As the definition of the word ‘Confluence’ suggests, the intention of these exhibitions is the connection of places and the gathering of people," says Lisa Berger, Art Center Sarasota’s executive director.
