Strategic Plan

SCAS President Beth Ruyle-Hullinger has requested that I chair a committee on Strategic Planning for our sister city organization.  I am requesting Sister City members who would like to assist in the future planning for SCAS. I am interpreting the charge of strategic planning as a plan of future action for SCAS.

I anticipate just a few meetings to work out the plan of action based on the results of the meeting held by the board in October. The goal of that meeting was to identify challenges to the organization and develop a plan to meet those challenges.  The group was divided into two sub-committees and both identified the four major challenges for SCAS in order of priority as:

Funding
Community Visibility
Future Leadership
Partnerships

Some of the ways suggested to meet these challenges are given below and are also on the web at sscplan.blogspot.com. Towards the bottom of the blog is a copy of the plan which you should be able to directly edit if you wish.

I would like to hold our first planning committee meeting sometime during the week of Jan 27.  Please let me know if you are willing to serve on the planning committee and if so what your availability is for the week of Jan 27.

Thanks,

Ray Young
